Mansion "Villa Helena" in Konstancin

"Villa Helena" in the street "ul. Stefana Żeromskiego 11" is another villa worth seeing in Konstancin's historical center and best residential area. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century by Warsaw architect Jan Fryderyk Heurich. Villa Helena is a two-storey neo-renaissance building with porticos, columned loggias, decorative friezes and window balustrades. The property includes a large garden and a small outbuilding.
Like most other representative villas and vacation residences in the city, this building was nationalized after 1945 to create social housing. The function of simple residential use persisted for many decades. In some cases, even dilapidated properties in Konstancin - often against the background of difficult legal situations - are still occupied by tenants today. The fact that the decaying, listed houses take a back seat in this context must be considered a bizarre circumstance, since the property values are often in the high six-figure euro range, regardless of the type, extent or condition of a development.
Incidentally, Konstancin is not only one of the hottest addresses in Poland for real estate; due to its dense forestation and special climate, the city has also established itself as the location of various specialized clinics and rehabilitation centers.
